Volunteering

The Japanime Club requires members to volunteer at least once per semester. The following is a list of current anime conventions and community events needing volunteers.

Community Events

September 4th-- September 7th, 2015: Saboten-Con (Glendale)
            Volunteer at Saboten-Con

November 6th-- November 8th, 2015: Kikori-Con (Flagstaff)
            Volunteer at Kikori-Con

February 22nd-- February 23rd: Arizona Matsuri (Phoenix)
          
Volunteer at AZ Matsuri          

(1) the Children's Area: they always needs many volunteers to help kids with their projects.
(2) the Tomodachi Fundraiser Booth needs people to invite the visitors to Matsuri to stop and leave a donations in the donation jar, or to purchase a Tomodachi pendant or pin. It will be 4 years since 3/11/11 and the disaster in NE Japan. We need to continue to remember that many people are still suffering there.
(3) This year we launched the HAIKU EXPO, and will need a handful of volunteers to help in this booth.
(4) The Tanabata Booth needs volunteers to work with Mr. Yonezawa (from CA) to explain what to do and help people write their "message", then hang it on a bamboo branch.
(5) We have the "gold fish" fishing booth (where kids will fish for toys, not fish)...needing volunteers! and finally
(6) we need volunteers to run errands, and do whatever last minute things might be needed as "general help."

           Volunteer at Hyou-Con (required for all Japanime club members, in addition to one community event)
